3D Hubs Pricing should be by machine hours and material not volume
Businesses do not charge for volume on prints as it does not directly reflect the costs and leave a know value for margin in 3D printing.
The quote model should quote an expected print time (machine hours) plus the expected cost of material. It is impossible to guess and some parts are quoted quite low by volume but are much more expensive to print.
I just had a quote for a massive part but it had very thin walls and therefore was quoted at $150 when just my material and electricity cost exceeded $400 for this part.

Response time calculation
Can we please adjust response time. Submissions at 2am negatively affects your response time. As do week end submissions. Either adjust the calculation to take into to account reasonable business hours, or better still add a feature so Hubs can set their business hours, which will indicate when people can expect a response. I'd go with the former, it's cleaner, and less prone to creating pressure on competing hubs to operate at stupid oclock.

Ability for HUBS to review the CUSTOMER
I believe customers should be able to get reviewed by a hub.
The customer doesn't necessarily need to be able to see the review, just other hubs.
This could benefit both parties.
Examples:"Tim was a pleasure to work with while also being new to 3dhubs and printing" -Lets the hub know he may not understand 3dhubs or printing completely, so explain the process as you go.
"Tim has unrealistic expectations for 3d printing" - Lets the hub know Tim may give you a rating that breaks that perfect 5/5 stars.
"Tim took his time with replying" -Lets the hub…

Rejecting non-functional parts should not count against the hub.
I've had a couple of customers that requested "functional" parts with features that would clearly not be functional. Extremely thin walls, clips, and threads for isntance.
Rejecting these should not count against the hub because printing and shipping parts that we know will not work isn't a good business practice.

discount
Educational discounts are great for students to get their projects done, but I do see a lot of abuse with this. I know that there are people that aren't students that are using the educational discount on parts, and students that are using it for their own use, ie. game pieces. This kind of goes to another suggestion that states if we have the ability to privately rate customers, we could at least have something there that states that they have been abusing their student discount or such.
I am not looking for you to vet these users, that is…

Add a "Vacation" setting or "Temporarily offline"
If a hub owner is going on vacation or to a conference for a week or two it would be nice to have a vacation mode or a temporarily offline mode. There could be one toggle switch with a corresponding date field that takes the hub printers offline but still allows the hub to show in search results. The difference being that it has a message stating something to the effect of "This hub is temporarily offline and will resume accepting orders on (date)". This way existing customers know you're still around, and, potential new customers may see still view…
29 votesThanks for the feedback. Having support for “opening hours” and “temporarily closed” are high on our backlog.

Separate single file multi part models
I've noticed more and more that customers are putting multiple parts in the same model file to avoid paying the multiple print charge. The reality is that some prints will print better when the parts are separated and will lead to less failed prints.

Start counting down order completion time AFTER the customer pays
I have a customer that just completed payment but the order page already says that I have passed the expected completion date because they initially placed the order many days ago. Clearly completion time should be based on when payment is made, not when the order is placed or even accepted. I can manually change the estimated completion date, but I feel this reflects poorly. It would be nice if this was very clear to the customer and the date was automatically pushed back every day the customer didn't pay.

Polymaker Polysher Service
With the release of the Polymaker Polysher, can that be added as an additional service to Polish prints?

Percentage of completion for multiple objects
If the costumer want more than 1 object, it will be great a progress bar in wich the hub can show to the costumer how much objects have been printed

Pricing should be by the material weight based on the infill precentage
The 20% infill cost less material than 100% infill, so the customer should be able to select which infill he wants so and pay for it, the payment shouldn't be done based on the volume, but by the weight.

Build plate size as an option
When defining your hub printers, it would be good it we could enter a max build plate size, ie 150mm x 150mm x120mm.
3d hubs could then reject prints that are too big. I hate having to reject orders because customers are not advised of sizes available.28 votesThanks for the fair feedback. We might take this along when we’re touching part orientation and build volume filtering

Process time extimation
Delivery timing is effecting how long will be the printing time.
if customer is asking for a small volume obj it will fit in the standard timing but if the volume is huge, this will create unexpected and unwanted effect.
We have the price calculator but not the timing calculator. Since we can declare our device, material cost why do not add variable mm3/sec? Just to have a roughly timing and or let the member decide4 votes -
I need a statement for my accountant of invoices and payments, as a service provider, not just the 3D Hubs fees
Each month I want to easily print all the invoices sent - jobs Im working on, and payments received. It can also show the service fee paid.
I dont want to go to each order and print the invoice ( those invoices are not very useful - they dont show the date payment was made)
Just one statement of account would be nice. Ideally, it needs to show all jobs forever, and/or be filtered by month.5 votes -
Fix Free Shipping Please
Issue: I have my free shipping set for orders over $12. My shipping cost for orders that do not qualify for free shipping is $7. If the customer has a order that cost $9, when it comes time to pick a shipping method it adds the $7 shipping cost and makes the shipping free because it is over $12 now. Sorry if that was very confusing...if you need a better explanation please tell me.

Urgent orders
Some costumers have very short deadlines and need their prints urgently. This happens especially with students. You should add an option for urgent order and give the possibility of charging an extra for orders delivered in a day or two.

Don't let users change accepted orders!
It's annoying if you check an Order for it's printability.
Make all adjustments to the project, accept the Order and when the customer pays the Order you see, that he added some new files you haven't ever seen. You shouldn't totaly disable the function to the user, but as soon as the Hub has accepted the order, the user must ask for permission to change files again.
Or you let the user make changes, but it doesn't get updated until the Hub validates it.
23 votesGood feedback. This an urgent issue with our current workflow indeed. We’re looking to release a solution relatively soon.

Add a box to tell customers what material a hub currently has loaded.
I use polyjet Resin and to swap colour can cost me upto £100 in lost resin, if I was to change it from black to white!
A customer can choose there colour and submit their design, then I have to decline there order, or ask if they will use the colour I have loaded.
My time & the customers time is wasted in long winded discussion.
It's OK if it's a large profitable order, to swap resin, but if it is for 1 little £10 part, the time wasted trying to tell the customer, in wages, can make the part…1 vote -
Assembly Requirments Option
Most of my designs require nuts and bolts to become functional and of value. I sell a lot that way. So if the customer needs products to be assembled to be marketable he should be able to discuss with the manufacturer. See how I print. https://youtu.be/caR8gq7CPgI
