  1. Response time for orders received during the night

    I received an order request at 12:25am. It is Sunday. I then received an email from 3D Hubs at 4:26am requesting for a response and saying this will improve my hub ranking, implying that it would decrease my hub ranking if I did the opposite, to not respond within 4 hours.

    I received these emails at 8:57am, again to reiterate it is Sunday morning. I was not even awake to get the hint from the 3D hubs digital night owls.

    My suggestion to 3D hubs.

    If an order comes in anytime during "out of hours", for example let's assume those…

    • Make an app to make it easier to communicate with customers

      I love that 3Dhubs messages me on the phone to let me know I've gotten a customer or a message. But the way with SMS, logging in via the browser and trying to navigate the UI on mobile is old fashioned and frustrating. Make an app to allow a more seamless experience in dealing with customers on the go!

      • busy machines, offset time estimates, job scheduling, calendar

        If somebody requests a print on a machine and I accept it, the earliest start date for any new request should be the day after the first order is completed.

        If machines could be shown as "busy" in a calendar, clients could reserve the machines for future jobs, and offline periods could be scheduled publicly (for moves, holidays, and such).

        The ability to embed this hypothetical calendar tool in other sites would be neat too.

        • Deadline Adjustment based on payment

          I see that the bug about deadline adjustment based on payment has been 'fixed' but the order I just did had the same issue.

          Accepted order, took 3 days to pay, by the time they paid it was on the day that the part was due. Had to adjust deadline. It should adjust the deadline based on payment date....

          • Order cancel facility on the orders page.

            A facility to allow an order to be cancelled after initial submission before the job is manufactured. Once in manufacture and after payment, the facility should be withdrawn.

              I would like to share with you one of my top feedback from my customers (99% are local, so they're French just like me).

              They find the overall ergonomy of the website, in particular the interface to place order, very confusing. Most of them have difficulties to easily understand english, so it doesn't help. This might be a generation gap thing, because most of them are 40+.

              It feels a bit like some people in need of 3D print, could be stuck and discouraged of oredering because of it.

              Why don't you use https://www.transifex.com/ for example ?

              • Change "Order Custom Parts" button to start an order with the Hub being viewed

                I have had people in the past go to my hub and instead of clicking the green "Get Quote" button, they click the red "Order Custom Parts" button at the top. It would be nice that whenever a customer is viewing my hub the "Order Custom Parts" button is either hidden or instead does the same thing as clicking the green "Get Quote" button.

                  I think you can list individual category of 3d printers who is hobbiest like mine can offer 3d printing in nearby areas for very cheap alternate so that new comers can enjoy their own first prints.

                    I would like to have a checkbox to see if any Hub is willing to offer a priority service.

                    The Hub could for example not nest other parts in the building box. So the buyer compensates the lower efficiency of the printer with an extra fee.

                      Hi,
                      I got three orders in my pot pending customer to confirm they got the parts, after several times chasing them. The customer gets theirs parts printed and shipped in 48 hours. Why do I need to wait two weeks to get payment? Sometime it doesn't matter how many times we chase the customer some of them just don't confirm receipt. Can we reduce the wait time? I think it is not fair on us Hub owners. I offer signed for delivery so I can track the parts been delivered.

                      • Implement a print time detection and cutoff time

                        I keep getting orders at 10pm that are supposed to be shipped the next day. Not only that, they're large orders. I recommend you calculate the printing time and adjust the delivery date accordingly so I don't look bad for changing it. Also, if it is a short print, please add a cutoff time (like 7pm) where the order can't be shipped the next day.

                          • Integrate social media into hub account

                            As a printer on 3D Hubs, I find it time consuming to post images of my prints to social media and then to 3D Hubs. My pictures on my hub are often out of date because it takes a large amount of effort to add pictures, caption them appropriately and do this continuously with social media. I would propose that 3D Hubs would provide some kind of integration that allows hub printers to connect to their social media accounts where customers can see the latest prints on a printer's social media.

                              Othen I overlook that a customer wants more than one of the same print. The quantity box is so small and in a low contrast that it is easy to overlook!
                              Make it more noticeable and prevent these shameful and irritating situations!!

                              • Allow material change and order change on instant orders

                                So I've had many instant orders where a user has chosen a material like ABS which isn't best for the job and upon talking with the client they are happy to change and pay any difference - but with instant orders this facility is removed? Please can it be restored so that the material/printer can be edited after the initial order?

                                • Common Design Features Handbook

                                  I purchased "The 3D Printing Handbook" in hopes I would find what I just found under your "Common Design Features" section. PLEASE make a book in regards to "Common Design Features" as I am sure it will help many (including myself) for designing functional 3D Prints. If possible, including a general troubleshooting chapter with pictures would also help! Once available, please let me know as I will be the first to purchase this book! Thank you!

                                        • Make an option to set a filament/filament color out of stock.

                                          It would be great to select that a filament is out of stock or a specific color.The customer seeing that his filament/color it is out of stock can message the hub to ask when it will be back in stock.
