  1. Allow customers to view/chat with hubs before uploading a file.

    I cannot currently figure out how to talk to a hub about an idea I'd like to have printed, and I can't see where to view certain profiles. It is also important to me that I know how big a hub's printer is, so I can find a hub with a larger printer if necessary.

      there should be an additional step in the process, now when order is paid by customer, the order automatically moves into printing, this is sometimes not correct because printing might start a day later or so, so for best information of customer it would be great to real change the status when the part is put on the machine, best would be to have this status by part, so if parts are not all build at the same time the hub can fill it in part by part as they move on the machine, by this the customer can decide…

      • Calculate the printing time for delivery time

        Can you please calculate the printing time. At the moment i have a order to print 2 pcs, every pcs will print 48 hours = 4 Days !

          If a hub owner is going on vacation or to a conference for a week or two it would be nice to have a vacation mode or a temporarily offline mode. There could be one toggle switch with a corresponding date field that takes the hub printers offline but still allows the hub to show in search results. The difference being that it has a message stating something to the effect of "This hub is temporarily offline and will resume accepting orders on (date)". This way existing customers know you're still around, and, potential new customers may see still view…

          • Fixed price on support removal!

            I love the new feature where 3DHubs is able to calculate the support material needed in a print.
            The option added for support removal based on surface area is a great start.

            Though often times I have to spend as much time for cleaning up a small part with complex geometry vs a larger part with simpler geometry.

            So I would like to set a fixed rate on support removal (also depending on the material choice of course).
            E.g. €7 for support removal on ABS parts, but €12 for TPU parts.

            • AstroPrint integration for mobile apps and turn-key order processing

              Integrate with AstroPrint (cloud slicer and printer controller) to provide turn-key solutions to handle orders:
              - model files can be imported straight to a 3dhubs project in astroprint
              - notification to hub can be done via the AstroPrint mobile apps
              - hub owner can start a print without having to access a PC at all
              - basic settings can be applied to the slicer straight from 3dhubs integration (e.g. layer height)
              - timelapse can be recorded and automatically uploaded to the order status

              I know astroprint is eager for more vendors to add their services as "apps" in the astroprint…

              • "Pickup in..." should be (Town), (State). Not (Town), (Country).

                When you go to order from my hub, it says "PIckup in Montgomery, US 19 June." Thing is, there are a lot of Montgomerys (Montgomeries?) in the US, and even around here. In a smaller country this style may make sense, but for the US, maybe make it (Town), (State), since that is what most people are used to.

                  You should expand your company to more locations like in the United States. So many products that Americans buy are made in China because of the cheap labor. There could be a group of smaller stores that agree to mass produce a particular product or one larger store to mass produce a particular product or produce a custom design like your company currently does now. Point is, the possibilities are endless, you can employee thousands of Americans to maintain and manage the 3D printers and actually compete with the cheap cost of labor for products produced in China.                     As there are more and more delta style printer with a circular bed shape, it would be nice to list these printer as capable of printing a diameter of ...mm instead of a rectangular box.

                    For instance if a delta printer had a Ø400mm bed, it would be listed as 283x283mm (I guess), so if an user is asking for a volume based on a rectangle 380x115, it would be rejected.

                    • make users rate speed based on hub performance and not factor in shipping time.

                      i keep getting dinged for speed on all my canadian orders. i print an order and ship it within one day but canadian customs introduces delays to the shipping that can add up to several days or even weeks. I turn the order around very quickly but the customer doesn't get their parts until several days/weeks later. i get rated a 2-3 for speed and i have no control over it.

                      • let me set a range for shipping costs that the customer approves and let me adjust actual cost at the time of shipping within those limits.

                        since i don't know the weight of a package until after its packed, i would like to enter a range for shipping - say $15-$30 that the customer approves. then when i know the actual shipping charges i can adjust that within the range. if shipping comes in > $30 then the customer needs to reapprove. but if it comes in at $25 then the customer pays that amount without having to reapprove the charges. customer is not charged for shipping until i enter the final amount.

                        • Adding pictures to the hub page should add them to the top instead of bottom of the list

                          More ofthen than not I want to show off my newest pictures not the ones that are already there first so I always need to drag the images all the way up through the list.

                          • Fix Free Shipping Please

                            Issue: I have my free shipping set for orders over $12. My shipping cost for orders that do not qualify for free shipping is $7. If the customer has a order that cost $9, when it comes time to pick a shipping method it adds the $7 shipping cost and makes the shipping free because it is over $12 now. Sorry if that was very confusing...if you need a better explanation please tell me.

                              Some costumers have very short deadlines and need their prints urgently. This happens especially with students. You should add an option for urgent order and give the possibility of charging an extra for orders delivered in a day or two.

                                Educational discounts are great for students to get their projects done, but I do see a lot of abuse with this. I know that there are people that aren't students that are using the educational discount on parts, and students that are using it for their own use, ie. game pieces. This kind of goes to another suggestion that states if we have the ability to privately rate customers, we could at least have something there that states that they have been abusing their student discount or such.

                                  • Add a box to tell customers what material a hub currently has loaded.

                                    I use polyjet Resin and to swap colour can cost me upto £100 in lost resin, if I was to change it from black to white!
                                    A customer can choose there colour and submit their design, then I have to decline there order, or ask if they will use the colour I have loaded.
                                    My time & the customers time is wasted in long winded discussion.
                                    It's OK if it's a large profitable order, to swap resin, but if it is for 1 little £10 part, the time wasted trying to tell the customer, in wages, can make the part…

                                      Most of my designs require nuts and bolts to become functional and of value. I sell a lot that way.                                       • Start counting down order completion time AFTER the customer pays

                                        I have a customer that just completed payment but the order page already says that I have passed the expected completion date because they initially placed the order many days ago. Clearly completion time should be based on when payment is made, not when the order is placed or even accepted. I can manually change the estimated completion date, but I feel this reflects poorly. It would be nice if this was very clear to the customer and the date was automatically pushed back every day the customer didn't pay.
