we have now the 'Response time' indicator....how wold be if there were also an 'Averange completion time for orders' indicator. So can the Clients see how fast does the Hub complete the orders. I have set the completion time 7Days to have safety margins (defects of the printer or no material or lack of time etc) but normally I ship the parts in 2-3 days.... I'm sure that lot of hubs are doing the same way1 vote
Good suggestion. We’re looking to add indicators on the order throughput time and on-time rate relatively soon.
Adding the ability to configure the look of a receipt would be appreciated. At least make them look similar to the Invoice layout.1 vote
This is quite high on our priority list. I’ll let you know once we’ve updated it.
Apparently you sort the names of the uploads in the Order Details. It would be more convenient if you would leave them in the order they were uploaded, oldest at the top. There is no reason to sort, and leaving them in upload order is easier for us to map to our recollection of doing the uploads.1 vote
Thanks for the feedback. I agree that this can be cumbersome. We’re reviewing to rebuild this part of the system , which should also solve this issue
I visited your site on recommendation of a colleague on a course I am taking. I just wanted to know where the 3d printers are near to where I live and accessible by public transport. Could not find that information without joining up and even then it is just maps in a general area. needed more precise information. Even though I am in Dublin ROI on my profile my phone number option was suggesting +44 which is the UK. Please improve your location information. I don't want to browse loads of stuff and scoll down. I just want a quick list by post code and if possible road or street without even joining up. No matter how good the 3d printers are, if I cannot get to them I won't be using them.

Thanks for the feedback. Did you know you can enter your location and then sort on distance? that should give you a all hubs nearby nicely listed.
Ability to enter/log your invoice number & date against a completed order and have that in the order list as filter item
Add an 'invoice nr' and 'invoice date' field to the complete order context. So as a hub it makes live easier to administer your orders. Then also have those two properties available in the orders list and export feature.1 vote
Thanks for your feedback. We’re looking at how we can make the invoicing process easier. I’ll reach out to you once we’ll get to it.
The efficiency of FDM (Fused Deposition Modelling) 3D printing is influenced by the orientation in which the printed object is positioned on the printing platform. The Tweaker is an open source python module which finds an optimal orientation for an object on a 3D printer's printing platform. The Tweaker can be regarded as an auto-rotate function, invocable from software as well as from a web-service to facilitate the workflow in a cloud-based manufacturing scenario as 3D Hubs is.
Test it here: https://github.com/ChristophSchranz/Tweaker-31 vote
Thanks for the tip. I’ve forwarded it to the development team working on this part as part orientation is definitely important to us.
1) hide 3d printer model to customer
2) unbranded Embeddable Order Widget without any reference to 3dhubs to use in external website0 votes
Thanks for the feedback. Wer’e looking making the order process easier for customers which might involve hiding the printers.
If any attachment errors, show the errors in the Add attachments area (not the top of page). It's hard to see there are errors.1 vote
Pretty simple really, distance isn't that useful given that postage doesn't vary that much. But usually i have to scroll through 5 pages to find those hub offering the most competive prices.1 vote
We’re reviewing different solutions that would solve the problem of having to scroll through 5 pages.
My URL, imagine3dps.com forwards directly to my hub. But traffic I generate through my efforts still costs me the 12.5% service charge. Is there a way you can treat my URL forwarded traffic the same as from a button on a website? Not that I begrudge you your profits, but traffic that I generate should get the lower charge, no?1 vote
This a fair point. We’re looking if and how we can support this better
auto calculate order completition date based on printing volume (or other conditions), Sample scenario: i set that can i print for a single customer approx 5cm3 for day, customer upload models for a total of 15cm3, 3dhubs auto calculating order completition time on 3 business day ...1 vote
We’re looking at way to see how we can make the estimated order delivery time more accurate.
Give possibility to filter hubs by hub name or hub number.1 vote
We’re looking into ways how you would be able to search for hubs by name.
I was very disapointed that the part about the color distribution is no longer a part of the quarterly trending report. It was the only information that I could use for planning how to stock my hub to meet customer demand. What I would like is for that part to come back and also getting information about distribution of material, layer height, printing technique and build volume. If it would be possible to make the information available on a local level (per country/region) it would be extremly helpful and allow for the hubs to understand the customer demand.12 votes
I have a project that needs (2) components and I wish to have them printed using different materials. Please consider supporting that scenario. Thanks1 vote
Thanks for the feedback. We’re reviewing if this is something we can improve.
Customers could order in much less time, as they wouldn't need to upload an .stl file or wait for the calculations.
This seems to already be the case for Thingiverse, and could certainly also be done for files users uploaded directly on 3dhubs.com.
This could ideally be combined with allowing users to store models with their profile*.2 votes
We’re reviewing ways to better store uploaded models for customers
Right now, the subsequent prints pricing option treats multiple different parts and multiple copies of a single part the same way. For almost any printer, setting up 10 parts is going to take way longer than setting up 10 copies of the same part, but there is no way to account for this. For some of our printers, this is really exaggerated and difficult to establish pricing for.3 votes
Uploading the same models again (and again) is is slow and tedious.
It would make make me very happy if my models would persist with my user profile.1 vote
The user should be able to sort by "price", just like they are capable of sorting by other criteria.68 votes
Looking through the offerings is time-consuming, and doesn't give you a good idea of when you'll get your order and for how much, since shipping isn't included. Instead, calculate full time and cost for each delivery option for each offering, and show them all in a grid with time on one axis and cost on the other. Then I can easily see my sweet spot. Color could be used to indicate ratings.3 votes
We’re always looking to making it easier for a customer to select the right service provider. We’ll take this feedback into account when we’re redesigning that part.
Integrate with shipping management tool ShipStation (http://www.shipstation.com/)
Currently this is one of our most time consuming tasks for processing orders: manually entering shipping information into ShipStation.
We process ~20 3D Hubs orders per week, so having a customers shipping address and order value information automatically pulled into ShipStation would be a huge timesaver for us.
It would also ensure that shipping information does not get entered incorrectly.
Having the 3D Hubs order status automatically change from Ready for Shipping to Shipped would be very nice too.3 votes
Thanks for the feedback. Saving your time is high up on our priority list, so we’ll look into what we can do here.
