  1. Direct order button

    Hi folks,
    It would be great to enable Direct order feature in "Embeddable Order Widget".
    For example, If I share printed model image with Order button, it should lead to Order page with already loaded STL file (supplied by URL in widget) and already chosen my hub with only printer, materials and colors as options for user.
    That way, we will simplify order procedure as some users are familiar with simple order procedures, and not with "Downoad&Upload models" to get his offer.

      Hi Petar,

      Excellent idea, something we’ve got on our backlog. Thanks for sharing it here on uservoice. We have to build some additional functionality for this so it will be a little while before we can get to this.

    • Limit part size based on printer type

      I have been receiving a lot of orders for large parts that are too big to be made by any of my printers. I suggest adding a feature to limit part size based on the type of printer or at least provide an alert to the customer and the hub that the part may be too big. Another approach would be to identify hubs that could print "XL" parts prior to ordering, which is similar to what is currently done for hubs that can print "HD" parts. That way customers would only be seeing hubs that can print large parts.

        Hi MakerStrong, we do filter printers based on the size of the object, however we don’t do so on the order widget which is used on the profile pages and external websites. This is something we’ll address soon. Thanks for flagging!

      • "Switch hub" flow should let the customer edit the initial comment

        After my order was declined, I clicked "Select this hub" on one of the suggested alternative hubs on the order page, and my order was immediately sent without giving me a chance to edit the initial comment. There should be a way to edit the comment to make sense based on what the new hub already knows about my project.

        • More colours and materials at the same order

          Hello,

          I've got a few orders now, where customers want to add different colours and materials in 1 order. Now they have to add a new order for a different material and they have to tell in the subscription what colour they wanted to print.
          Is it possible that those options will be combined in 1 order?

            Hey Rene,

            We’ll offer this in the future but right now we don’t support it. We have to change the color and material settings from order level to part level which impacts quite a few parts of the website and potentially complicates a lot of the UX which we want to prevent.

            So we’re looking into it but its still some months out.

          • Display Hub Income (total sales and/or sales by month) on Hub Dashboard

            It would be great if the Hub Dashboard could also display Hub Income (total sales year to date and/or total sales by month).

            • Barcode Advertising

              I have been looking for new ways to advertise my hub. You guys offered some posters for us to distribute, but the posters do not direct the business to my hub. Could you offer printable posters for each hub that have a barcode that leads to our hubs? By barcode I mean the code that people can scan with their phones. Thanks!

              • Scaling option for individual file uploads

                When completing a multiple file upload sometimes the different files are actually intended to be scaled differently. Right now the only option is for the entire set. It would be nice if your three scaling options were per stl file upload.

                • Add Hub search and fix Student Checkout

                  I'm looking to print with a hub I've used before but am failing to find it. You need to add a hub name search and a "get quote" button on the Hub Page.
                  Also student checkout link... you click it and it loops back to the exact same page. So no discount. Painful!

                    I add the descriptions and links for the photos, but system does not save them. It saves only the mames of the photos.

                    • Order buttons should become AJAX calls so the page doesn't refresh

                      Convert submit buttons on the order page to ajax calls so when you add an address and submit that section it doesn't refresh the page and remove a comment that you might have typed but not submitted.

                      • Make clear to customers that the "completion date" is the date that the print will be ready not the date they will receive it.

                        I do a lot of mail orders. There is a lot of confusion to the mail order customers regarding the date that shows as "completion date" on the 3DHUB website. Usually I have a completion date of 2 days. That is for the print to be ready to be picked up or to be posted. I had a couple of bad reviews regarding speed from mail order customers because they believed that this date is the date that they will have the part (of course that was impossible but that is irrelevant.                           Hi George,
                          We’re currently building a shipping solution in which Hubs will be able to indicate the delivery time and cost for their shipping options, this will be added to the price and delivery time in the checkout and should take away this frustration.

                        • Add option for hubs to "Tick" off prints that have been completed for multiple file orders.

                          Most orders have more than one file, why not have a checkbox that shows the customer which ones have been printed and which are going to be.

                          • Promote Customer feedback to my Facebook, Instagram and Twitter feeds automatically

                            It would be awesome to be able to promote my customer feedback to my followers, friends and potential customers.

                            Most people have a presence on all social media so promoting my work there is imperative. Doing it thru the hub promotes us all.

                              It would be really great to see on the total orders page a column that shows who the last person to make a comment was. Sometimes I miss a comment from a buyer until I go to the order's specific page.

                                A client just canceled an order.. And, I'm not angry, I just think it might happen a lot, which means actually, a lot.

                                First, about consequences.
                                As a buyer or a maker anyone should have his own reputation (like on eBay), so makers can also be aware of some not-very-careful-behaviours. [People ordering everywhere, then cancel…]
                                Today the client can refer to a ranking, so why not the hub ?
                                Plus, being aware of that, could lead to more suspicion, of course, but also, to a better communication :
                                Thinking as being in a workshop, you see a not experienced potential…

                                  Hi Francois, this is great feedback, you’re right that customers ordering at multiple Hubs is the way the product is designed to work. Also having rating on customers would be interesting addition. Luckily we don’t see many customers canceling orders, but we’ll keep looking at ways to improve the checkout (perhaps also adding two way ratings).

                                • Discount for members who come back again

                                  I do have customers who come back again for the 5th time already by me. I would give them a discount at the time they have placed a new order.
                                  the discout I've got in mind:
                                  5% by 5 orders
                                  10% by 10 orders
                                  15% by 15 or more orders

                                    We’re working on discounts that Hubs can hand out to their customers. This could very well be part of it, thanks for sharing and keep an eye out for it, we’re aiming to launch it this quarter!

                                  • Single page order summary or checklist

                                    My hub has been receiving some complex orders with many individual parts and different quantities for each. I have also ended up having more than one of these jobs running concurrently. I have been printing a copy of their order but because there is not a print specific view, an order with many parts and comments can take 12 pages to print. Only printing the customer info and part info can be 3 plus pages just because the website is not formatted for printing.

                                    • Add option to temporarily disable a material to be listed rather than having to delete it

                                      I print with clear PETG and it has only recently run out. I don't really have an intention of buying it again soon, so I don't really want it listed as an option in my hub.

                                      However, I don't want to delete the material because it contains the pricing computations I've already made for each layer height. I don't want to redo it especially if I get stock of the material again.

                                      An option to disable the material from being listed would be nice. Saves us having to redo the pricing for each layer height.

                                        I get a lot of requests to ship prints. Usually what I do is print out the main order page that shows the shipping address, then cut it out and tape it to the box. Then, I have to find a USPS office and get it shipped. It would MUCH nicer to just generate the USPS label directly from 3DHubs and then drop it in the nearest mailbox. This would be super convenient.

                                        At a minimum though, I'd like the ability to just easily print the shipping address and return address so that I can slap it on the box…

                                          If this is unobtainable, perhaps making the quantity text larger or bold on the Order View page.

                                          This may not be a big deal to the veteran hubs, but it could possibly prevent a newby hub from making a simple oversight in the order prereview process. It would be nice for more summary type information up front when reviewing an order prior to accepting or declining.
